Lorraine's Rock is just west of and around this point just south of Refugio State Beach. Under normal circumstances it is the end of a walk from Refugio easterly because the water is usually up over the rocks making it difficult to get around the point without swimming. As a kid I swam around this point on many occasions to get to the private beach here in the foreground....if there was beach... Underwater ridges of rock make it difficult to surf here the waves don't form up well. However its a beautiful summer day on the backside of Lorraine (Venadito Creek) on the edge of the Continent.
