Warm summer afternoon at Ledbetter Beach just west of Santa Barbara Harbor and breakwater. The calm bay is known for its easy access beginning surfers and on large surf days brings the hammer... a spinning screaming suckout tube along the beach.
I grew up on the top of this cliff and Ledbetter was my front yard.

He was a successful high school football coach and History teacher for 30 years. Jeff grew up in Santa Barbara California and learned to body surf from his lifeguard father when he was four years old. He shared a balsawood surfboard with a friend when he was 13 and payed for, bought, and rode his first fiberglass board at the age of 15. Jeff has a special feeling for the ocean and surfing...
