This old Goleta Beach tree has struggled against wind, rain, and tides. The top snapped over about 15 years ago, and high storm tides have washed up and around it for years.... a great example of longevity, providing shade for loyal beach goers for many years... What future awaits as the tides continue to rise...... THE FUTURE IS HERE..... the tree is now GONE washed away by rising ocean levels and the DUMPING of alien dirt and mud from Montecito mud slides onto Goleta Beach.... This wonderful shade tree is GONE>>>>>

He was a successful high school football coach and History teacher for 30 years. Jeff grew up in Santa Barbara California and learned to body surf from his lifeguard father when he was four years old. He shared a balsawood surfboard with a friend when he was 13 and payed for, bought, and rode his first fiberglass board at the age of 15. Jeff has a special feeling for the ocean and surfing...
